Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Original Articles

  • Descrição: Contêm resultados de pesquisas originais, baseados em dados coletados por meio de experimentos, pesquisas, entrevistas, observações ou outras metodologias de pesquisa. Devem apresentar uma hipótese clara (ou desenho exploratório, se for pesquisa indutiva), metodologia, resultados e conclusão.

Review articles

Description: They provide an overview of existing research on a specific topic, synthesizing the body of research and offering a roadmap for future investigations. They can take various forms, such as narrative reviews, scoping reviews, and systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

Evaluation: Peer-reviewed (double-blind).

Case Study

  • Description: In-depth descriptions of real-life situations or events, used to demonstrate the application of a particular theory or concept in a specific context. They typically describe a single case or a small series of cases.
  • Evaluation: Peer-reviewed (double-blind).

Interviews

  • Description: Short pieces that may express opinions, offer introductions or commentaries for a specific issue of the journal, or serve as a forum for dialogue and sharing perspectives on a particular topic.
  • Evaluation: Not peer-reviewed content.

Review (Book/Thesis/Dissertation)

  • Description: Critical descriptions of books, theses, and dissertations that present the most current research ideas. The review provides knowledge and introduces important works for current scientific discussions.
  • Evaluation: Peer-reviewed (double-blind).

AGTU Journal of Science and Innovation values the confidentiality of your information, but sharing is necessary for the journal's operation and for the promotion of open science.

 

3.1. Publicly Available Information:

  • Published Articles: Authors' names, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, article titles, abstracts, keywords, and the full text of articles are published and made publicly accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license permits the copying, distribution, and adaptation of content, provided proper attribution is given to the original creator.
  • Metadata: Article metadata is shared with indexing services and databases to enhance research visibility and discoverability.

 

3.2. Internal Sharing:

  • Editorial Team and Reviewers: Submission information and user profiles are accessible to the editorial team and reviewers involved in the evaluation process. During double-blind peer review, the identities of authors and reviewers are protected.
  • AGTU: Relevant data may be shared internally with departments of American Global Tech University for administrative, institutional research, and compliance purposes (e.g., to verify compliance with publication requirements for AGTU Master's students).

 

3.3. Third-Party Service Providers:

  • We may use third-party services to assist in the journal's operation, such as anti-plagiarism software. In such cases, information is shared only to the extent necessary for service provision, and we require these third parties to protect your information in accordance with security and privacy standards.
