Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Original Articles

This section is dedicated to the publication of works that present results of original and unpublished scientific research. Manuscripts must offer a relevant contribution to the field, supported by empirical data collected through rigorous methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed). The text must demonstrate an advancement in current knowledge and strictly follow the current APA standards.

Required Structure: Introduction (problem, justification, and objectives/hypotheses), Theoretical Framework, Detailed Methodology, Results, Discussion (linking data and theory), and Conclusions.

  • Review Process: Double-Blind Peer Review.

  • Indexed: Yes.

  • Abstract Required: Yes (English and Portuguese).

  • Word Count: 4,000 to 7,000 words (including references).

Estudo de Caso

This section welcomes experience reports and case studies that describe specific interventions, clinical situations, or organizational phenomena in depth. Manuscripts must rigorously adhere to ethical principles (participant anonymity and informed consent). It is essential that the case study goes beyond mere description, promoting a dialogue between the observed practice and current scientific literature (APA).

Required Structure: Introduction, Case Presentation (Context and Description), Theoretical Discussion/Case Analysis, and Final Considerations.

Review Process: Double-Blind Peer Review.

Indexed: Yes.

Abstract Required: Yes.

Word Count: 3,000 to 5,000 words.

Book Review

This section accepts critical reviews of books, manuals, or edited volumes published, preferably, within the last 2 (two) years. The review must not be a mere descriptive summary, but rather an in-depth analysis discussing the work's relevance, its contributions to the scientific field, as well as its strengths and weaknesses. The full bibliographic reference of the analyzed work must appear at the beginning of the text, following APA standards.

Required Structure: Full reference of the work, brief presentation of the author, content synthesis, critical analysis, and target audience recommendation.

Review Process: Double-Blind Peer Review or Editorial Review (depending on journal policy). Indexed: Yes. Abstract Required: No (only keywords are recommended). Word Count: 1,000 to 2,000 words.

Research Projects

This section is dedicated to the dissemination of research protocols, structured intervention projects, or early-stage research presenting innovative methodologies. The goal is to share experimental designs and methodological tools prior to or during the study execution. The main focus must be the soundness of the theoretical foundation and the rigor of the proposed methodological design.

Required Structure: Introduction, Justification, Theoretical Framework, Objectives, Detailed Methodology (including instruments and planned analysis procedures), and Timeline/Expected Results.

Review Process: Double-Blind Peer Review. Indexed: Yes. Abstract Required: Yes. Word Count: 2,500 to 4,000 words.
